CGI RACING OPEN WATER SWIMS
Urgent Updates Click Here
The open water swim sessions will begin on Thursday, May 1, 2008.
The Thursday night open water training was a huge hit last year and it will once again be available for those who want open water training.
We will offer it on Thursday nights from 6-8pm and it is usually a swim/bike or swim/run format that will alternate each week. If you are only interested in swimming you may skip the second part of the training. As was the case last year the sessions will be held at Wenonah Lake in Wenonah, NJ. The lake has bathrooms, showers, on site parking and a lifeguard is on duty. It is a great way for experienced triathletes to dust off your open water skills after a winter in the pool or for newbies to experience open water for the first time.
The sessions are free to USAT members (you must bring your card each week) and $10, each week, to non USAT members.
The Wenonah Lake Association and our lifeguards do not charge anything for the use of this facility so we ask that EACH person donate a minimum of $2 each week to the Lake Association and $2 per week to the lifeguard. It’s a small price to pay to feel comfortable in open water!
Open Water Swims begin at Wenonah Lake on May 1, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and will continue each Thursday night thereafter through early August.
If weather is inclement we will send out an email blast to all registrants by 3:00 pm that day.
Wenonah Lake is located at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Jefferson Avenue in Wenonah, NJ. Click here for directions.
You may e-mail us to be included on the list for updates.
